The Area this Chronicle takes place is Cape Breton Nova Scotia Canada. The majority of the RP takes place in the Cape Breton Metro Area.
Cape Breton is an island on the Alantic Coast of Canda; it is part of the province of Nova Scotia. Please see the below information about the area:
Geography:
The island measures 10,311 square kilometres (3,981 sq mi) in area, making it the 77th largest island in the world and Canada's 18th largest island. Cape Breton Island is composed mainly of rocky shores, rolling farmland, glacial valleys, barren headlands, mountains, woods and plateaus. Geological evidence suggests that at least part of the island was originally joined with present-day Scotland and Norway, now separated by millions of years of continental drift.
The northern portion of Cape Breton Island is dominated by the Cape Breton Highlands, commonly shortened to simply the "Highlands", which are an extension of the Appalachian mountain chain. The Highlands comprise the northern portions of Inverness and Victoria counties. In 1936 the federal government established the Cape Breton Highlands National Park covering 949 km2 (366 sq mi) across the northern third of the Highlands. The Cabot Trail scenic highway also encircles the coastal perimeter of the plateau.
Cape Breton Island's hydrological features include the Bras d'Or Lake system, a salt-water fjord at the heart of the island, and freshwater features including Lake Ainslie, the Margaree River system, and the Mira River. Innumerable smaller rivers and streams drain into the Bras d'Or Lake estuary and onto the Gulf of St. Lawrence and Atlantic coasts.
Cape Breton Island is joined to the mainland by the Canso Causeway, which was completed in 1955, enabling direct road and rail traffic to and from the island, but requiring marine traffic to pass through the Canso Canal at the eastern end of the causeway.
Cape Breton Island is divided into four counties: Cape Breton, Inverness, Richmond, and Victoria.
Climate
Cape Breton's climate is mild thanks to the moderating influence of the Atlantic Ocean. The weather you will experience depends on the time of day and if you are close to the lakes or the ocean. So while you might be warm driving through the valleys in Margaree at noon, when you reach Cheticamp on the coast in the evening you might need to throw on a sweater. For general reference:
* Spring from 1 °C (34 °F) to 17 °C (63 °F) * Summer from 14 °C (57 °F) to 25 °C (77 °F) * Fall about 5 °C (41 °F) to 20 °C (68 °F) * Winter about −11 °C (12.2 °F) to 5 °C (41 °F)

Sydney, Cape Breton’s Historical Capital
As the largest urban area on Cape Breton and the island’s historical capital, Sydney, Nova Scotia is the perfect mix of metropolitan charm and down home hospitality.
History of Sydney, Nova Scotia
Sydney was founded in 1785 and named in honour of Britain’s Home Secretary at the time, Thomas Townsend, 1st Viscount Sydney; a few years later, Sydney, Australia would also be named after him. Its original settlers included former soldiers and Loyalists escaping the chaos following the American Revolution. The town was the English capital of Cape Breton from its founding until 1820, when the island colony and its rich coal fields became part of Nova Scotia. It was that coal that would transform Sydney from a colonial town into a major industrial center, becoming a world leader in steel production. That industrial growth saw Sydney officially become a city in 1904, welcoming workers and their families from around the province and world. Today, Sydney continues to welcome people from around the world as they come to visit the city and the beautiful Cape Breton Island.
Sydney, Nova Scotia Attractions
As with many Nova Scotian communities on the ocean, the heart of Sydney is its waterfront. On a warm, summer evening it’s a great place to go for a walk, stop to listen to a busker and watch the ships in the harbour. Along the way, be sure to get your photo taken beside the world’s largest fiddle, built in recognition of Cape Breton’s musical talent. If you are looking for some night life fun there is Ravage Night Club Located in the downtown core.
