Recently I had a sit-down with the admins to discuss the influx of characters that we're getting that are coming from other rooms, other sites, other chronicles and migrating from tabletop.
First I want to say that I'm pleased that everyone's excited about playing again. These rooms go in cycles so it seems and I'm glad we're on the rise.
Having said that, the number of character requests that we're getting that have been extreme is changing the dynamic of the room toward the higher powered end of the scale. In order to cope with this, we're placing a moratorium on introducing characters from other rooms starting August 1. What this means is that if it's not on the boards AND approved before August 1, it doesn't get to play.
After August 1, character creation should be starting level characters only. If it's not in the core book and the clan/tribe/tradition book and you want it, ask an admin for permission. We're hoping this cuts down on the amount of time we're spending combing through new sheets for elder characters as well. In a recent case, it took two admins two hours each to research all the things on a sheet and balance it.
So if you've had a character in the process of approval, get it finished. If you've got a sheet in mind, you have about three weeks to make it happen.
After that, any sheet more advanced than starting needs to come with a damn good reason and needs the approval of ALL admins before you can proceed with the approval process.
We'll have more updates as we decide on things. Discussions about renoun awards for Garou characters are ongoing right now and once we decide on a format that makes sense, we'll post it. As always, feedback is appreciated and will be considered before we make any changes to the Matrix. Goodbye, Mr. Anderson.
