Welcome to Cape Breton by Night.
This room is focused on Roleplay, and as a result, may have some rules that you may not be familiar with. I will post each rule here, and follow it with a brief explaination.
This thread is NOT locked, so if you have questions or comments about the rules, feel free to reply in this thread. We will respond as soon as we can. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

- This Room is a White-Wolf only room.
Pretty self-explainatory. Free-Form folks are welcome to play , but if you do, and you do not have a WW character sheet on file, you will be considered a Neonate for the purposes of determining what abilities you have up to the discretion of the Storyteller.
[/li][li]Character sheet needs to be on file. Otherwise you will be assumed to have no more than level 2 of your clan/tribe/etc. abilities, this includes all character stats. If you are catiff, orphan, hollow one than you do not have access to any disciplines[/b]
Same as above. You can still Play here, but all of your primary abilities will be assumed to be Level 2. You will also only have access to your own clans disciplines. Sending us a sheet via the message board will fix this for you upon approval.
[/li][li]Mortals and NPCs must state such in their tags, No Ghost tags, and the Characters name must be in the tags [/b]
Mortals need this so we know when we are no longer safe to do what we like. NPCs must do this so we know who we can kill, and who we cannot.
[/li][li]Although this is not a Camarilla-controlled setting, anyone showing themselves to mortals will likely be hunted and killed for safety reasons[/b]
It dosen't matter how powerful our characters are. Mortals will win in the end. Therefore, anyone who intentionally displays their supernatural traits to a mortal, will be considered a threat to us all. Garou, Vampires, and Mages will all likely try to eliminate this threat. It can make for interesting roleplay, but please be warned. Note that we do expect that Mortal characters will likely learn of our existance at some point. Also note, that wanton use of powers in public places is not what you want to be doing.
[/li][li]Only NPCs may be killed. Characters that would normally be considered killed after combat will now be considered “Defeated” instead.[/b]
We will post an entire section on this in another thread. We feel that the potential loss of a character has stifled roleplay. This will allow anyone to get into a fight, or other dangerous situation without the fear of having to start over. We will expect you to RP being defeated i.e. roleplaying the humiliation, the recovery time etc. NPCs however are a different story. they are meant to be plot drivers, minions for PCs, and they are also, ultimately expected to be killed if a player character kills them. They are still expected to defend themselves, and could very easily "Defeat" a Player Character. More on this in another Thread.
[/li][li]You Cannot Force your roleplay onto those that do not wish to participate[/b]
Roleplay is supposed to be fun. If someone bullies you into a role you do not wish to play, it is likely not fun. You are expected to take your beatings if you offend someone more powerful, and you are expected to have to finish anything you have started. With that said, noone can turn you into a vampire of you don't want it. No one can keep your character chained up for weeks. No one can grab your character, and force them into something you do not want to be part of. if you feel you are being forced into something you don't want to be a part of, please whisper the person, and let them know. They need to then stop immediately.
With that said, if you shoot someone, and then they try to kill you, don't expect this rule to protect you.
[/li][li] Vicissitude is a Discipline. Not a Disease.[/b]
Whine some more. You CANNOT be infected with Vicissitude. That is all.
[/li][li] Swearing, and Nudity are in. Hardcore sex roleplay is Out.[/b]
Swear your face off. Nude avs (While typically stupid for this setting) are allowed. Although you may be arrested for public nudity if you're on the streets. If two characters engage in sex, take it to whispers. We don't want to see it.
Anything even looking like bestiality, child porn, or any other deviant, Illegal sexual activity will get you kicked out of this room.
